As I lay here cold and tired
I am feeling lonely and sad
I lean over and pick up the baby blanket that you gave me
Even though you aren’t with me now
I can feel your presence
When I’m curled up in the blanket
It seem to be like a hug from you
You are watching over me and guiding me through life
As I sit here writing this I wish you were here
I wish I could cry on your shoulder
I thank you for all the love you gave me
All the things you exposed me to
I don’t think I can ever forget what you taught me
I will always care for you and look for to you for guidance
You can’t talk to me but you guide in other ways.
